Myrtha Pools:
To whom it may concern:
The WA Sports Centre Trust is a state Government Statutory Authority with management responsibility for four of Western Australia’s major sporting venues. In late 1996, following extensive research, the Trust commissioned the installation of a Myrtha Water Polo pool at Challenge Stadium to be used for the 8th FINA World Swimming Championships held in January 1998.
This was the first Myrtha pool to be installed in Australia and despite its uniqueness the installation was carried out faultlessly by Myrtha. This pool has now been in operation at Challenge Stadium as an outdoor water polo pool for 10 years and in that time it has performed extremely well from an operational and maintenance perspective. There have been some minor repairs to the gutter, which were repaired under the Myrtha guarantee however other than this the pool has required almost zero maintenance. The pool has also held its aesthetic appearance even though it is an outdoor uncovered pool.
The Trust also installed a 50m 10 lane Myrtha pool at Arena Joondalup, a large sporting and recreation complex situated in Joondalup some 25km north of Perth. This pool was installed in 2000 following a tender process which compared conventional concrete pools to Myrtha pools. This pool has performed well and the follow up service from Myrtha has been excellent.
I have no hesitation in recommending Myrtha pools to prospective purchasers.
