RenovAction
RenovAction is the patented and exclusive technology by Myrtha Pools, used for the renovation and refurbishment of existing swimming pools. The renovation process may include the walls, floor covering, and the overflow gutter separately or in combination. What is really remarkable, is that the renovation process often does not need any destructive intervention of the existing structure.

Floor Systems
The standard floor of a Myrtha Pool is formed using a reinforced concrete slab, which is only needed to provide a smooth support surface. This slab is waterproofed by our PVC membrane floor, Alkorplan 2000. Myrtha pools can be built without concrete as the stainless steel panels and buttress system is strong enough to support the structure. Myrtha also has the soft safety floor which is a special purpose floor incorporating state of the art materials. The soft safety floor is recommended for multi-purpose pools that include beach entry, toys and shallow activity areas.
Wall Systems
The pool walls are formed by the use of stainless steel panels.
The pre-manufactured panels are factory treated with a permanent layer of hard PVC, and then bolted onto the base frame. The use of stainless steel for the structural components and PVC enables a perfect waterproofing system and zero risk of corrosion.
Gutters
The Myrtha® overflow gutter is made with the same material that is used for the wall panels and comes in a wide range of standard configurations. The gutter can be supplied with a design (“diagonal flow”) which limits the evaporation of chemicals and reduces the noise of falling water. The patented Myrtha® gutter grating has been designed to meet the most strict anti-slip and load regulations while the gutter dropouts can also be supplied with silencers which virtually eliminate noise.
RenovAction Project:
In 1997 Almaty, ex-capital of Kazakhstan, was chosen to host the Central Asia Games. At the time, however, the swimming facilities of the local sports centre, that date back to 1960, had been closed for a long time for the impossibility to make them work, despite of repeated interventions to fix them.
The works of rehabilitation of the facilities were committed to Myrtha Pools® that, in only 35 days, provided for the total renovation. Therefore, the external pool for competitions (50mx25mx2m) was completed: new water filtration, heating and disinfection systems, covering of the pool inside with Myrtha® RenovAction stainless steel panels.
Near the renovated swimming pool there are the other two refurbished pools of the complex, an indoor 25m one and the outdoor diving pool.
